My practice is multi-cultural and diverse, and reflects values of inclusiveness and respect toward all people. You are welcome here!
To my dear clients, colleagues, and community,I have been shaken and woken up by the senseless murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Tony McDade, Rayshard Brooks, Sandra Bland, and countless others before and after them. My own anti-racism work is now in full swing.
Changes need to take place in the field of psychology for there to be equity and justice for all people regardless of race. I recognize the deep wounds we as a country are living through. I am humbled by how much I have to learn around systemic racism and our country’s history of slavery and genocide against Black and Indigenous people. I stand in solidarity with the Black Community. Black Lives Matter.
I am committed to deeply understanding as much as I can how a person’s race and culture shapes their sense of self, relationships and world-view. I am listening, learning, and growing every day. My work will continue to remain grounded in attachment science which asserts that we are all wired for connection. We all share common needs to be seen, feel heard, and be respectfully supported by others.
I am determined to be and stay on the side that fights racism, inequality and white supremacy.
